How to Balance FISH

Thank you for visiting my website and taking the first step towards personal fulfillment and enhanced simplicity in your life! Let me start by stating why I created this website. My number one priority over the last 15+ years has been to develop my kids into happy and successful people. While they are currently under my roof, I can do my best to influence their actions and teach them basic life concepts. When they get into college and are on their own for the first time, they will undergo massive development socially by living with others in a dorm and will further expand their knowledge base through their curriculum. But once they graduate, coaching and mentoring opportunities are often limited. They are truly out on their own, trying to figure out how to get a job, how to properly invest their income, how to purchase and maintain their first house, and ultimately how to raise great kids of their own. When they are still in high school, they certainly aren’t interested in hearing about these concepts as they don’t relate to them at their current stage. They don’t teach these concepts in college. So my goal was to come up with the ‘Cliff’s Notes’ for all major events they would experience after college so if there were any questions, they would have a quick reference guide to drive continued success in their lives.

It is most people’s dream to be truly successful, to want for nothing, and most importantly to live a happy life. Many people have phenomenal success in some areas of their life yet struggle in others. Think about the myriad of actors or musicians who build amazing careers loaded with fame and fortune, yet are secretly so miserable that they end up overdosing on drugs. Or those who have exceptional loving relationships and are in great physical shape yet wish they could afford to go on vacation. Or those who are both wealthy and have strong relationships yet are obese and struggle to just walk up the stairs. What these individuals lack is balance in their lives. It is very difficult to achieve fulfillment without balance.

I spend a great deal of time goal planning. I sit down regularly and think about what I want my life to look like and then establish short, medium and long term goals to support that vision. Knowing the importance of life balance, I break my goal planning into four key categories which for me, are the most important components of my life. These four areas are Family, Income, Self-Development, and Health. Or in short, FISH.

This website dives deep into each of these categories and gives tips that should enable you to quickly accelerate your success in each category. For example, within the ‘F’ section, you will receive tips to increase the bond you have with your children and ways to positively impact their personal development. In the ‘I’ category, we go through both basic and advanced investment concepts and delve into what it takes to build a successful career. The ‘S’ section looks at ways to make yourself a more complete person. This not only relates to developing new skill sets resulting in personal growth but also addresses how you can give back to the communities around you which will pay itself back tenfold. And ‘H’ covers topics related to diet, exercise, and other ways to bring joy to your life.

Achieving fulfillment does not happen overnight. It requires structured planning, commitment and an unrelenting personal drive. But once you find balance in your life and begin to make positive progress in your key categories, you will quickly see that the extra effort you are dedicating towards a better life is extremely worthwhile. I hope you enjoy this resource. If there is anything I can do to improve the website’s value, please leave me a comment!!
